<p>Hundreds of back links will not get you ranked well with poor content. Great content will get you good keyword positioning with or without back links, therefore, content is still the most important aspect of your website. Great design, flash, graphics, and a cool banner will not get you ranked well for your keywords and phrases. Great content will!</p>

<p>I really try to refrain from telling people they are, well . . . stupid, but I am finding it harder and harder each day when I read this stuff.</p>
<p>They will spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to have their website designed so it looks really pretty, but the text, the stuff that will actually get good search engine results and sales, they go after cheap content.</p>
<p>Writers that know how to write text that not only is appealing to the reader, but that is also written with the keywords and phrases in mind, are worth being paid well. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is a topic a lot of people ask me about. is there a system for creating a successful web page? One that not only ranks well in the search engines, but also converts sales or leads?</p>
<p>There is a basic structure that has worked for me as a guideline.</p>
<p><strong>1. First of course, the code in the web page needs to be cleaned up.</strong> All unnecessary code should be eliminated, put into external files, etc.</p>
<p><strong>2. You need to identify one master key phrase for that web page to target.</strong></p>
<p><strong>3. Type that key phrase into the google keywords tool.</strong> </p>
<p><strong>4. Make a list of 5-10 phrases that google tells you are related to that master key phrase.</strong></p>
<p><strong>5. Name the html file the same as your master key phrase</strong>, like &#8220;bicycle-parts.html, bicycleparts.html, or bicycle_parts.html</p>
<p><strong>6. Rename all of your images based on the keyword list you made.</strong> use the alt tags for related phrases that also descibe the image.</p>
<p><strong>7. Use the title tag in the source code.</strong> Give it the same name as the file name or a variation such as &#8220;Parts for Bicycles&#8221;.</p>
<p><strong>8. Write a description tag that makes people want to click over to your website,</strong> like; &#8220;We have the lowest prices on the web for bicycle parts!&#8221; This is the text you see below a link in a search engine results page whenever you search for something. If your description is better than those who rank just above you, you still might be the link they click on if they like the desciption.</p>
<p><strong>9. Do not stuff a bunch of keywords and phrases into your keywords meta tag.</strong> Use only words and phrases and variations of those words and phrases that you will actually be using when you write the content for that page.</p>
<p><strong>10. Start with an H1 tag at the top of your page.</strong> Use the master key phrase or a variation of that phrase here as well.</p>
<p><strong>11. There are 3 type of people who will visit your page. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Type 1 -</strong> Knows exactly what they are looking for and does not need a lot of information before they are ready to buy. So you will write the first paragraph of text to summarize what the whole page is about. Then you need to put in a call to action at the end of that paragraph or just below it.</p>
<p><strong>Type 2 -</strong> needs a little more information before they are ready to commit to anything. Write another two paragraphs that go into a little more detail than the first paragraph, then add your call to action at the end or just below those two paragraphs. Do not use the same words in the call to action that you used after the first paragraph. If that did not get them to click the first time they read it, it won&#8217;t likely work the second time you say the same thing. If you said &#8220;click here for more info&#8221; at the end of the first paragraph, say something like, &#8220;see how this product or service can help you&#8221; at the end of the two paragraphs you wrote for type 2.</p>
<p><strong>Type 3 -</strong> is the type of person who is going to read every single word on the page before they will commit to anything, so write another three paragraphs just for them. Then add a brand new call to action at the end of the last paragraph or just below it.</p>
<p><strong>This pyramid approach to writing sales text has proven successful time and time again.</strong></p>
<p><strong>12. You should have your keyword list memorized as you write the text.</strong> Use your master key phrases at least 3-4 more times plus use each of the related key phrases from your list a couple of times each. But most of all, focus on how to use them in such a way that you are closing the sale. Converting sales is more important than the right keyword density, but both can be achieved if you set your mind to it.</p>
<p>Your web page may not be one that you can use the 1 paragraph, then 2 paragraphs, then 3 paragraphs method. This is just a suggested guide. You do need to address the three types of visitors and target each of them in the way suggested. A little info for type 1, then a call to action, a little more detail for type 2, then a new call to action, then more detail for type 3 and another call to action.</p>
<p>If you build each web page using this as a guideline and you know how to write compelling content, you will rank better and convert more sales.</p>

<p>There is so much marketing information, softwares, tips, tricks, widgets and seminars that it can seem confusing and overwhelming to someone wishing to start out a business online. There are emotions to deal with as well, from uncertainty, apathy &#038; righteousness to joy, peace of mind, clarity and a burning motivation and desire to succeed. Let&#8217;s try to put together a step by step success blueprint.</p>
<p>Firstly, you need a business idea. This may be a something you have specialised knowledge about or it may be some kind of solution that you know is to a common problem, or simply you want to enter a niche and make money from something that was a hobby or pastime. Market research does not have to be a huge task in internet marketing. Provided you can identify that there is a hungry market for your product you can create a business out of it.</p>
<p>Step two is to build a website. There are plenty of templates that will do the job for you. You may first of all need to learn some basics of  how to put up and edit a website or else hire a webmaster to implement your instructions. The important thing about your website is that is has quality content on it  &#8211; value that your readers  will get something out of, which will in turn make it more likely they will want to buy something  from your website &#8211; you don&#8217;t get something for nothing &#8211; and it works both ways.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s where you can implement some marketing strategies. Having a list-building component on your website &#8211; such as an autoresponder form which allows you to collect email addresses and names and to send out an ezine and announcements to your list. You can create a spinoff site such as a blog which cross promotes your site, your products and provides added value to your customers and prospects. Once you have a list of about 100 you can start a forum which will generate more content about your topic and encourage the formation of a community around what you are offering.</p>
<p>This is all by-the-by unless you have a product that people really want. You can start by having a page on your site that allows visitors to buy an ebook or an audio about your niche. Provided you are offering information that has a USP (unique selling point) &#8211; eg it is cheaper, more densely concentrated, more revealing or better in some other way from anything else your prospect has seen. You will then start to have what has been termed as a profit funnel.</p>
<p>A visitor to your site is great. But it is better that they sign up to your ezine, so you can follow up with  them and give them quality content so that when you hit them with a subtle or not so subtle sales pitch or special offer, they&#8217;ll buy rather than unsubscribe. Better yet, you&#8217;ll generate an instant customer who buys your ebook outright. Primarily, generating visitors (traffic and prospects) and turning those visitors in to subscriber prospects and proven buyers is going to mean you are in usiness.</p>
<p>These prospects and buyer prospects can also be sold on higher end products and services too. At the same time, with a little encouragement, your people will help you to drive more traffic by referrals, adding content to your site (via a forum or other user-generated content such as reviews, comments, a back-link from their site etc). To get traffic in the initial stages, you can improve your search engine optimisation, submit to directories, submit articles and to get indexed and get traffic, use social bookmarking sites.</p>

<p>We covered this a little in the chapter about <a href="http://seoserviceprovider.com/seoblog/2008/02/01/new-web-business-guide-chapter-3-keyword-research/" target="new">choosing your keywords and key phrases</a>, but we need to mention it again here.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say you are a moving company. You provide truck rentals, self moving options, and full service moves. That means you have three different types of people coming to your website that each want something different. </p>
<p>You have to plan your website so that you can make it easy for each of these target groups get to where you want them to go in your website whether that be the contact form, an estimate form, signing up for a newsletter, calling you on the phone, or hitting an order or buy now button.</p>
<p><FONT COLOR="blue" SIZE="+2">The Main Page</FONT></p>
<p>When most poeple think of and plan their website, they think of how they will get people from the front page into the rest of the website. They see the front page as their &#8220;doorway&#8221; into their website.</p>
<p>This kind of thinking will cost you sales. Every single page in your website can be a landing page. That means that people may enter your website by landing on any page, so not everyone will even see your front page. Not if you plan correctly that is.</p>
<p>Search engines crawl and index web &#8220;pages&#8221;, not web &#8220;sites&#8221;. Every page in your website can get a search engine listing for the keywords and phrases chosen for that page. So keep this in mind as we plan your website.</p>
<p>For now, we will talk about those that do land on your main or front page. Remember we had three types of people who might land on your front page after a search or by clicking a link. Now we need to help those people get to what they want.</p>
<p>You need to plan and build your main page to give easy choices to your visitors. Do not depend on your visitors using your navigation menu to get to where you want them to go. Don&#8217;t think that because you have all of this great navigation in a really cool menu that people will use it to find what they want.</p>
<p>Make it easy. With our moving company website example, we would build the navigation menu, then more importantly, in the top center, the most obvious place for people to look, you will give them three simple choices.</p>
<p>1. Do you want to rent a truck for your move? or just Moving Truck Rental.</p>
<p>2. Are you ready to save money with self-moving where you pack the boxes and load the truck?</p>
<p>3. Do you want us to handle everything for you so you don&#8217;t have to worry?</p>
<p>You can word those any way you want as long as it clearly explains to each type of visitor where to go to get what they are looking for. Your main or front page should be designed to divide and conquer. Split up the different types of users and send them to the section of your website they are interested in or send them right to the page where you can close the sale.</p>
<p><FONT COLOR="blue" SIZE="+2">Understanding How Your Potential Customers Get To Your Website And Giving Them What They Want</FONT></p>
<p>This is the thing you need to understand. A user goes to a search engine. They type in moving truck rental let&#8217;s say. We do not want that user to get to your main page. It&#8217;s ok iof they do. We set up the main page to help them get to the page they really want, but that is still not the best thing that can happen.</p>
<p>The best thing that can happen is that your page that is all about moving truck rentals is the page that ranks well for that phrase and the page that user lands on. That means they type in moving truck rental and with one click go right to the page where they can rent a moving truck. </p>
<p>Imagine that. Giving them the exact thing they are searching for. The search engine&#8217;s job is to provide relevant results to it&#8217;s users. Your job is to make sure that your content is the relevant content the search engine provides. Work with the search engines not against them. Don&#8217;t try to trick the search engines. That will cost you in the long run.</p>
<p>Plan to build pages that are optimized for the keywords and phrases that are really relevant to each page. Make it very easy for the customer to make their purchase. Give the user exactly what they are looking for and you will convert sales.</p>
