Alexa Tshirts With Your Domain Name?

How much money does Alexa pay you for selling tshirts with your domain name on them? Did you know they were selling tshirts with your domain name on them? Is your domain name trademarked?

They are selling aol.com tshirts, google.com tshirts, gm.com tshirts, and more, so what chance is there they aren’t afraid to sell tshirts with your domain name on them?

Yes, the upside is that if people buy them, it’s free advertising, but did anyone ask for your permission? That’s pretty much what they need to do to make money off of the domain name you own.

Funny how if you try to find tshirts for disney.com, it changes to only let you have a tshirt with go.com instead. Think they may have gotten notice from disney? Disney loves to sue over their name. But cocacola.com tshirts are available so not everyone’s legal department has notified them yet.

You are even asked to get people to opt-in to receive newsletters, but you have to send a cease and desist to alexa to keep them from selling tshirts with your domain name on them?

Hmmm . . . more on this alexa tshirt deal later.

Alexa Tshirts, Go ahead, click here and type in your domain name.

My guess is, they are hoping that website owners themselves will purchase the T-shirts. Sounds like a racket.
